I LOVE HELPING WOMEN FEEL AMAZING

Hello & Welcome

I’m Anna, a Licensed Medical Massage Therapist in the beautiful city of Williamsburg, Virginia.

I’m not just a Massage Therapist but a full-on Wellness Specialist. I hold a master’s degree in a human physiology-based discipline (Exercise Science with an emphasis in Clinical Cardiac Rehab) and have extensive experience in pharmaceuticals, physical therapy, fitness and wellness, and yoga therapeutics. I am also a certified personal trainer. On the side, I have a passion for creating beautiful things like art and soaps, and I love the outdoors.

My superpower is helping women repair old injuries so they may again soar.  What is the purpose of having a body if you can't use it to create beautiful things and memories?

There is nothing I love more than helping women get back to feeling wonderful every day. I’m privileged to do what I'm most passionate about while empowering women (and the men they love) to prioritize self-care.

I specialize in helping women struggling with injuries, chronic pain, autoimmunity, or feeling wiped out. I provide a fully body-positive, nurturing, and holistic space where you can completely untangle your stress. This is your oasis, and it’s dedicated entirely to your well-being.

Whether your neck is killing you, you’re having trouble doing simple activities due to chronic issues, or you need an hour or two just for your well-being, you’ll find instant, nurturing relief in my cozy little studio.

Want to see what I can do for you? Put yourself first and book a healing massage today.

Anna

xoxo

FAQs

You Have Questions?  I Have Answers.

Why Should You Choose Me?

Simple.  I Provide Exceptional Care.

There are a lot of bodyworkers, spas, and other massage therapists here in Williamsburg. So why choose me?

I work hard to find your root cause of discomfort.  My training and background in human physiology, nutrition, yoga therapy, and total wellness make me uniquely gifted and specialized at helping you feel yourself again.  I believe we can lean into health at any size, no matter where we are. I offer custom-tailored treatments with an emphasis on your total wellness. I have a super-cozy little studio that I keep super-clean. Appointments will always start on time and will allow you to deeply relax with no talking. I offer unique and highly effective modalities to address your unique issues. I believe massage isn't foo-foo...it's the ultimate form of self-care. I believe that living free of pain and being able to do what you love is absolutely worth every penny. But most of all, when I see you, I see your best possibility for living the life you love.

What Is Your Style Of Touch Like?

Book An Appointment And Find Out

I've been asked this on the phone before, but you'll never know until you experience it.
My "default" style of touch that I love doing most is a very gentle, flowy kind of style similar to what you will find in Lomi Lomi (Hawaiian Massage).  The body generally prefers a respectful invitation to relax and open up vs. being steamrolled into submission.

Others have described my touch as nurturing, flowy, hypnotic, and deeply relaxing.  Make no mistake.  When deep pressure is needed, I can definitely apply it.  Check out my "Deep Pressure" massage option if this is for you.

But you'll have to see for yourself, won't you?

Do I Have to Take My Clothes Off?

That Depends

If you're on the table, you will want to undress to your comfort level.  I've treated clients who are in the nude to fully clothed and everywhere in between.  I will work with you to accommodate any needs you may have regarding draping and body positioning to ensure that you always feel safe and secure.

Be advised that different modalities can require different levels of clothing.  For example, Lomi Lomi, my Hawaain style of massage, is best when fully nude under the sheet to allow for a longer massage stroke (don't worry, you're still draped). Thai Massage is always fully clothed.  Don't worry.  We'll figure out exactly what you need to do based on how I can help you!

Do You Only Treat Women?

Nope

However, I only treat the men that the women I treat know and refer.  I work in a solo practice, and this is for safety purposes.
I also welcome any male clients from trusted referral sources.

Do You Have A Cancellation Policy?

Oooooh Yes. Yes, I do.

I serve a VERY SMALL number of clients on purpose to provide exceptional, personalized care, and generally am booked weeks out. To protect my time and business financial health, I will charge for all appointments canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time...for any reason.
When I say any reason, I do mean ANY reason.
Illness.
Car-jackings
Alien Abductions.
Etc.

Twenty-four hours allows me time to fill your spot with another body in need. It also protects the business itself, which is, in essence, based on the time allotted for service.

When you book your appointment, you reserve a non-refundable block of time should you have to cancel sooner than 24 hours. Think of it like you would a plane ticket. You reserve it; it's yours! This is why I require a credit card to book in the first place.

The one exception: I will not charge you if it can be filled with someone else that meets my client criteria of being a charming female over 50, or a male that we both trust.

I'm Sick. Should I Keep My Appointment?

Oh Heck No.

If you could be ill, you absolutely MUST cancel your appointment, especially if you suspect a fever.  Your massage will be safer and much more enjoyable once you feel better, and coming in could not only pose a serious risk to me as a practitioner but also to the immunocompromised clients I work with.  Please note that my 24-hour cancellation policy still applies in the event of illness or emergency.
All clients MUST agree to this policy fully prior to your appointment.
It is 100% enforced, and must be, to protect the business and continue to serve you.

What If I Just Want A Relaxing Massage? Will You Still Treat Me?

Of Course

"Relaxing Massages" make for powerful self-care and greatly enhance health.  No deeply relaxing massage is ever a waste of time, and some of my favorite treatments will mirror your most luxurious experiences in a spa.  Best of all, there are no "add-ons" or gratuities in my practice.  It is all built right into one flat fee.

What are my Payment Options?

Easy

I accept payment by cash, debit, VISA, Discover, MasterCard, ApplePay, and American Express.  A receipt can be provided to you for your employee health savings account (HSA) upon request.
Note: I MUST have a credit card on file when you first book your appointment.

Should I Tip?

Never.

Isn't that refreshing? The service I provide is "healthcare", and if you don't tip your Dentist, you don't tip me either.

Do You Take or File Insurance For Me?

Sorry, No.

Sadly, it's a huge pain.  However, I am happy to provide a receipt for you so that you can file it for yourself.

Do You Sell Gift Certificates?

Sure

However, I do ask that you consider that I treat a very small number of clients during limited hours.  I would encourage you to consider that the schedule of the person you are purchasing the gift certificate for needs to match my schedule of available service.
Gift Certificates should be for adult females, preferably 50+ and not for males outside my current circle of clients.

A great GC candidate is a family member or friend who currently receives a massage from me!  It's like a gift they already love, but "on the house!"

Where Can I Park?

There is Ample Parking All Around The Practice Entrance.

I work with ONE client at a time, so parking in front of the practice is an excellent idea.  If you walk with a cane or need wheelchair access, the lot to the left side of the building offers a sidewalk ramp for easier access.

I do not open the door until around 15 minutes before your appointment, and the studio remains locked while you are in treatment.

How Early Can I Arrive?

About 5 Minutes

Finding the practice should be easy for first-timers, thanks to a welcome email all new clients will receive.   I like to chat with each and every client prior to their appointment to learn more about them and understand how I can help.  This way we can focus on your treatment vs. completing intake information.
Arriving just 5-10 minutes prior to the start of your appointment is generally all that is needed.

What If I am Late for My Appointment?

Your Massage May Start Without You

I strive to start all appointments on time, and may actually have to depending on appointment arrangements for the day.  However, I generally do have a bit of a buffer.  Let me know you'll be late, drive safely, and I'll do everything possible to give you the full amount of time.
However, if it is not possible for me to do so, you will still be charged the full session rate regardless of arrival time.

Do You Offer Pregnancy Massage?

If You Are Over 50 and Pregnant, That is Amazing

I do know how to do an amazing prenatal and pregnancy massage.  I also have wonderful cushions that allow for women to lie on their bellies (yes, bellies) up to nine months!  If you have a pregnant daughter or friend, please feel free to treat them to a soothing massage in my Studio.  If YOU are over 50 and pregnant, I can't wait to take good care of you.

Do You Do Deep Tissue?

That's Not Really A Thing

What most people think is "deep tissue" is actually just the feeling of super-heavy pressure. I think significant strides can be made with a much lighter application of pressure, but if you prefer to be flattened with an iron, the maximum pressure I can provide is using my entire body weight in a barefoot massage.  This is not appropriate for everyone, so we'll determine that when you arrive.

Do You Treat Children?

Nope

Women (and the men they love) over 50, and the adults they refer to me only please.

What If I Would Like More Time?

If Time Permits, You Can Upgrade Mid-Massage

As a courtesy, I will let you know when we have a few minutes left. If time permits, you may upgrade to a longer period.
There is never any pressure to do so, but clients frequently discover that they would like never to leave the Studio.

What Is Your Policy Around Covid?

I'm not a huge fan of Covid-19.

I have previously had Covid, and believe that data has made an excellent case that both natural exposure and vaccination DO count towards immunity.  However, I also am a believer in HIPPA, and that your decision to vaccinate or not is entirely a private one between you and your physician.
I do not require you to show proof of vaccination, although most here have readily volunteered their status as "vaccinated" and/or previously exposed and recovered.  I do, however, require you to be WELL at the time of your visit, and ask that you self-quarantine should you have been exposed.

A mask will be your choice while in my studio space, which is kept as clean as humanly possible.
I will wear one at your request and always while working near your head and face.

What Steps Do You Take To Make The Studio Safe?

Many.

All linens are washed and bleached between clients, with table protectors as well. Surfaces are sanitized, Hepa fans run throughout the day, fans circulate air, floors are vacuumed and rugs are washable, etc. etc.  Click here to read what I do to keep you as safe as possible!

However, one thing I feel is so important (and overlooked) is that I do everything possible to keep my OWN immune system on hyperdrive so that I stay well and far less likely to pass on a high viral load.

I do not work with sick people. I send any sick people immediately home and do not reschedule them until they are well.  That includes me too.
